Current preview

This version lets you capture nearby sound through your microphone, load a local audio file, request sound analysis, save a YouTube link, edit recording details and sound descriptions, follow catalog links and keep local discoveries and a Wantlist. Analysis availability and usage limits are shown in the app. Song identification availability is shown in the app. Direct YouTube audio analysis and cloud synchronization are not connected.

Your audio and other people's rights

Use only audio, files and links you are entitled to use for the intended purpose. Owning a file or posting a link does not necessarily grant every right to process or distribute its contents. Respect copyright, privacy, recording rules and third-party service terms. Do not record private conversations or other people without the permissions required for the situation. Record Crush does not grant rights to third-party music.

Analysis and identification limits

Track identity and experimental sound descriptions are distinct. Results can be unavailable, incomplete or incorrect. Descriptions concern captured sound and do not establish authorship, ownership, licensing rights, an exact release or musical truth. Your listening notes and corrections should remain separate from original predictions. No accuracy, successful match or uninterrupted service is guaranteed.

Files, links and third-party services

Choosing Listen & analyze records 15 seconds and uploads the completed clip for processing. Cancel before recording finishes to send nothing. For a loaded file, choosing Analyze starts the upload. File analysis processes the complete uploaded file; it cannot establish whether that file contains an entire song. YouTube links are saved as links and are not analyzed. Third-party links may be unavailable or change, and their services apply their own terms.

Local data and availability

The preview stores selected discoveries in your browser only. Browser clearing, storage limits, device failure or private browsing can remove them. Keep your own source files and backups. The preview may change and is offered without a promise of completeness, reliability or suitability for a particular purpose, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Access and saving

Analysis is available without an account and is subject to usage limits. Discoveries and saved results remain in this browser on this device. Saving locally does not create an account or a subscription.
